This accessibility statement relates to the website of סלהוב — החברה המרכזית להדברות (Salhov — The Central Pest Control Company) (the "Site" and the "Business" respectively), operated by אדיר ראובן לב רועה, עוסק מורשה (licensed dealer). The statement is published in accordance with section 19 of חוק שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות, התשנ״ח-1998 (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998), and with regulation 35 of תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), התשע״ג-2013 (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Service), 2013), and it sets out the accessibility adjustments made to the Site and to the service, the known exceptions and how to get in touch on accessibility matters. This statement complements the terms of use, the privacy policy and the cookie policy of the Site.
1. The commitment of the Business to accessibility
The Business sees the advancement of accessibility as a central value and as both a moral and a legal duty, and acts out of a belief that every person deserves the right to live in equality, in dignity, in comfort and independently. Accordingly, the Business invests resources and effort in order to give all its customers — including people with disabilities — an equal, respectful, accessible and professional service, both on the website and in the pest control services actually provided. We continue to work on an ongoing basis to improve the accessibility of the Site and the service, out of an understanding that accessibility is a continuous process and not a one-off action.
2. Level of conformance and testing method
The Site was made accessible in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568 (ת״י 5568) "Web Content Accessibility" (2023 edition), which adopts the international accessibility guidelines WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) of the W3C, at level AA — the level required under regulation 35 of תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), התשע״ג-2013 (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Service), 2013).
The accessibility of the Site was tested in common modern browsers — Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox — on desktop and on mobile devices, together with the NVDA screen reader software and with full keyboard navigation (without a mouse). The testing method included manual testing of the main usage scenarios on the Site alongside running automated testing tools to detect accessibility defects. Defects found during the testing were fixed before this statement was published.
3. Accessibility adjustments made on the Site
The Site has a self-contained accessibility component built in (one that does not depend on a third-party service), available on all pages of the Site and allowing the user to adapt the display of the Site to their needs. The preferences of the user are stored in the local storage of the browser only, as set out in the cookie policy. The accessibility component includes the following capabilities:
- enlarging the text size at three levels;
- a high-contrast mode;
- switching to a readable, simple font;
- visual highlighting of links;
- stopping animations and motion on the page.
In addition, the following built-in accessibility adjustments are implemented on the Site:
- full keyboard navigation across all components of the Site, including a "skip to main content" link that appears at the top of every page and a visible focus indicator;
- correct semantic structure and a consistent heading hierarchy, allowing efficient navigation with assistive technologies and screen readers;
- alternative text descriptions (alt) for all images on the Site, including a full verbal transcript of the photograph of the exterminator licence displayed on the Site, issued under חוק הסדרת העיסוק בהדברה תברואית, התשע״ו-2016 (Regulation of the Occupation of Sanitary Pest Control Law, 2016): "אדיר ראובן לב רועה — מדביר מוסמך, מדביר במבנים ובשטח פתוח, רישיון מס' 2310, המשרד להגנת הסביבה, בתוקף עד 2029";
- a contact form with clear labels and written instructions;
- respecting the preference of the user for reduced motion (prefers-reduced-motion) at operating-system level — animations are reduced or disabled automatically for users who have set this preference;
- dedicated stop buttons for moving content on the Site, including auto-scrolling strips (testimonials and reviews), which allow the motion to be stopped with a single click;
- colour contrast ratios that meet the requirements of the standard between text and background throughout the Site.
4. Known exceptions and accessibility limitations
Despite our efforts to make all pages and components of the Site accessible, it is possible that parts or components will be found that have not yet been made fully accessible. It is clarified that a service enquiry through the Site is made by opening a conversation in the WhatsApp application — an external interface operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. and not under the control of the Business; the accessibility of that application is the responsibility of its operator. A user who has difficulty using WhatsApp is invited to get in touch by ordinary telephone call, as set out in section 6 below.
If a component that is not accessible is found on the Site, we will be glad to receive a report about it, and we will act to fix the defect as soon as possible and within the timeframes set out in law.
5. Accessibility of the service provided by the Business
The pest control services of the Business are provided at the home of the customer or at the business premises of the customer, throughout the service area (מגדרה ועד חדרה — from Gedera to Hadera), ראשון–שישי (Sunday to Friday). There is no reception of the public at the offices of the Business, and therefore there is no physical service location open to the public that requires building accessibility adjustments. A customer who needs accessibility adjustments as part of the provision of the service at their home — including adapted advance scheduling, explanations given at an adapted pace, written communication instead of voice communication or any other reasonable adjustment — is invited to mention this during the scheduling call, and we will act to meet the request as far as possible.
6. Contact details for accessibility matters
Under the regulations, the obligation to appoint a formal accessibility coordinator applies to employers with 25 employees or more. Although the Business is not required to do so, it has appointed a dedicated contact person for accessibility matters, who will coordinate the handling of enquiries, requests for adjustments and complaints in this field:
- Accessibility contact person: אדיר ראובן לב רועה;
- Telephone: 077-9969676;
- WhatsApp: 054-2819646.
When getting in touch, we recommend describing the difficulty you encountered, the relevant page or component, the type of browser and device used and the assistive technology (if any was used), so that we can locate the defect and deal with it efficiently.
7. Escalating complaints — Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities
An enquiry on an accessibility matter will first be directed to the contact person set out in section 6 above, and we undertake to handle it quickly and seriously. If your enquiry was not answered, or if in your view the response given is unsatisfactory, you have the right to apply to the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Ministry of Justice, which serves as the enforcement and supervision body in the field of accessibility: by telephone at *6763 or through an online contact form on the government services site gov.il.
8. Date of the statement and its refresh
This accessibility statement was last updated on 29.07.2026. The statement will be reviewed and refreshed at least once a year, and also whenever a material change is made to the Site or to the service that may affect their accessibility, all in accordance with the provisions of regulation 35 of תקנות שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות (התאמות נגישות לשירות), התשע״ג-2013 (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Service), 2013).
9. Feedback on the accessibility of the Site
We regard the users of the Site as full partners in the process of improving accessibility, and we will be glad to receive any comment, suggestion or report that will help us improve the accessibility of the Site and the service for all users. Feedback can be sent using the contact details set out in section 6 above.
