This policy sets out, fully and transparently, all the mechanisms used by the website of סלהוב — החברה המרכזית להדברות (Salhov — The Central Pest Control Company) (the "Site") to store data in the browser and to measure use of the Site. This policy forms an integral part of the privacy policy and of the terms of use, and should be read together with them.
1. What are cookies and what is local storage (localStorage)?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in the browser on the device of the user. Cookies are sent back to the server of the site with every request, and are therefore used by many sites to re-identify the user, to manage accounts and logins, and sometimes also for advertising tracking of browsing across different sites.
Local storage (localStorage) is a mechanism built into the browser that lets a site store data on the device of the user only. Unlike a cookie, information stored in localStorage is not sent automatically to any server — it stays in the browser on the device, is accessible only to the site that stored it, and is deleted only at the initiative of the user. This is a simple technical mechanism suited to storing display preferences, and it is not used on this Site for tracking of any kind.
2. What the Site actually does
The Site is a marketing landing page only: there are no user accounts, no e-commerce, no payments and no forms that are sent to a server. Accordingly, the use of storage and measurement mechanisms is limited to three items only, set out in full in the following table. Beyond these three items, the Site stores nothing on your device and operates no additional measurement tool.

3. No tracking, advertising or profiling cookies
The Site makes no use of tracking, advertising or profiling cookies — neither those of the operator of the Site nor those of any third party. There are no advertising pixels on the Site, no remarketing tools, no advertising networks, and no user profile is built about you.
This position is consistent with the final opinion of the Privacy Protection Authority on obtaining consent for the use of tracking technologies (cookies), published on 25 February 2026 under חוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ״א-1981 (Protection of Privacy Law, 1981): where a site makes no use of tracking, advertising or profiling cookies, only transparency and notice are required — and not a prior consent mechanism. Accordingly, the banner displayed on the Site is a notice and transparency banner; the choice made in it is recorded locally in the item salhov-consent-v1 solely so as not to trouble you by displaying it again.
4. Third-party cookies and external links
The Site does not embed third-party cookies, social network components, embedded videos or other third-party tools that place identifiers on your device.
That said, the Site does include external links — chiefly the WhatsApp buttons and the contact form, which compose a message on your device and open the WhatsApp service (wa.me) operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. From the moment you move over to the WhatsApp service, the terms of use and privacy policy of Meta apply to you, including the cookie and identifier mechanisms it operates, and these are not under the control of the operator of the Site. The same applies to links to external rating sites (such as Midrag, HaMiktzoanim and Google) — each such site is subject to its own cookie policy. We recommend reviewing the policy of each external service before using it.
5. Future changes to measurement and advertising tools
Should the operator of the Site wish in the future to add measurement or advertising tools based on cookies or identifiers (such as Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel), this will be done in accordance with the following principles:
- Consent-first loading: such tools will be implemented so that they will not load and will not place any identifier on your device other than after receiving your express and prior consent.
- Upgrading the banner: the notice banner will be upgraded to a full consent mechanism with "accept" and "reject" options of equal standing, in accordance with the guidance of the Privacy Protection Authority and with חוק הגנת הפרטיות, התשמ״א-1981 (Protection of Privacy Law, 1981).
- Updating this policy: this policy will be updated in advance, the update date at the top of the page will change, and the table in section 2 will fully reflect the new items. Continued use of the Site will not, in itself, be regarded as consent to tracking cookies.
6. Managing and deleting local storage
Control of the local storage is in your hands at all times, through the settings of your browser. Deleting "site data" for the Site will remove the two items set out above. How to delete in the common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data → See all site data and permissions → search for the address of the Site and delete.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data → See all cookies and site data → search and delete.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → select the site and delete.
- Safari (Mac and iPhone): on Mac — Safari Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data; on iPhone — Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → delete.
Please note: deleting the local storage will reset the accessibility preferences you saved (the item salhov-a11y), and the notice banner will be displayed again on your next visit (the item salhov-consent-v1). Apart from that, deletion has no effect at all on your ability to use the Site, since the Site does not depend on this storage for its basic operation.
